Jay sent me a link to the World Beard and Moustache Championship site. Apparently, every couple of years, Norway hosts an amazing world wide competition for nearly every type of beard and moustache there is! The US beard team apparently kicked ass last year, taking 1st and 3rd place. Ze Germans took 2nd. The photo below is from the 2007 championships.

Some friends at Jive, have informed me that this month is Octobeard. Those dudes are serious professionals about their no shaving endeavors and I expect great updates from them.

To celebrate the beginning of this blog, here are some various facial hair configurations of my past. I am very excited to go with a full shave on October 31st, followed by a glorious month of no shaving in November! Heck, I may go until Christmas… you can’t stop me! Itching be damned!
